Né le 26 août 1831 à Meaux (Seine-et-Marne).

Mort en 1898. XIXe siècle.

 

Peintre de paysages animés, paysages, paysages urbains, marines.

 

Élève de L. Cogniet et de Durand, il débuta au Salon de Paris en 1857 ; il reçu une médaille de troisième classe en 1876 et une de bronze en 1889 (Exposition universelle). Il séjourna en Italie, et travailla notamment à Venise. Il visita également l’Egypte.
